wouldn't it be cooler if you u can turn back into your rookie forms if u want but u keep the evolution line u picked already so u can't change into another but be able to go back into ur mega if u have to?

You can already do that. However you need the generation gems which can be won by the imperialdramon PM Quests. There are various kinds of gems and each one will allow you to go to the in-training form of the digimon you won.
